Hello!
My name is Peter Felske and here is a little bit of my story that led me to starting Red Cedar Canada.
My desire to create began with my fascination and admiration of my grandfather’s work. He was always making something beautiful with anything he could get his hands on. His favourite wood to work with was aromatic Red Cedar. He owned and operated a shoe company making orthopedic leather shoes and took up woodworking as a hobby in his spare time. I guess you could say that I inherited my grandfather's interests and sense of entrepreneurship.
My main passion is leatherwork. Taking that simple piece of leather and turning it into something new is a relaxing experience for me, whether it be making something small or something more intricate. It's just me and my thoughts while I work in the shop.
At Red Cedar Canada I will make sure everything is made with the same passion, dedication and high-end craftsmanship that I have been known for. Nothing will be sold that I haven't personally quality controlled and tested myself. I want to make sure that every item I sell is something that I would personally use and be proud making for my own family.
